[3rd chapter] 3 quotes

"Thinking is the first step, but to get results you have to take action."
this is true. thinking is only the first step of something but you don't get results by just thinking. you need to take action in order to get results.

"Visualizing yourself successfully making foul shots in basketball leads to a greater percentage of successful shots. and visualizing yourself acing the interview helps as well. the successful job search starts in your head".
it's all about positive thinking. what this quote is saying is to picture yourself succeeding. I often have negative thoughts about losing but I fight them. I try to think positive no matter how hard things look. it all starts with your head.

"Positive thinking creates a positive future."
I agree with this. negative thinking will get you nowhere. In order to picture a positive future, you have to think positive. positive thinking will get you far in life. If you get interviewed for a new job but don't get it, don't let it bring you down. think positive. think "There are other jobs out there for me. I just need to keep looking".

[2nd chapter] 3 quotes

"Self discovery requires time and focus. You can't think clearly in the midst of cell phones ringing, email arriving, friends dropping in, worrying about exams, and so on."
This quote is so accurate.
You cant focus when you have so many things going on at once. if you're writing a paper for class, there's no way you can focus on your paper while you're on the phone, emailing and doing other things at once. you should focus on you. you should always have a place where you can be alone, where no one can interrupt you, where you can just exercise your mind.

"Your mind is able to wander into many territories"
I agree. There is no limit where your mind can go.

"Not all those who wander are lost"- J.R.R. Tolkien
just because you have a wandering mind doesn't mean you're completely lost. You'll still find your path to success, no matter what. I actually think having a wandering mind is great. why narrow yourself down to one option ?

[1st Chapter] 3 quotes

"Some psychology majors become psychologists and some English majors become english professors. But Linear thinking can keep you from thinking broadly about your options and being open-minded to new opportunities".  Explore your options. Just because you're majoring in psychology doesnt mean you can only become a psychologist. with a psychology degree, you can  also become a social worker. anything related to your major is an exception. Be open-minded. there are many possibilites. dont just stick to one.

"By analyzing your torus attractors you'll be able to break cycles of behavior (like procrastination) that might impede your job search or career plans".  Control your behavior. You know yourself more than anyone else. If there is something you are constantly doing and you know you need to stop, work on it. My problem has always been punctuality. I'm still working on though. For example: if you're a procrastinator, try to get things on time because this type of behavior affect you and your career path.  If you want to stop procrastinating then do it. Break your bad cycles of behavior.
"Chaos theory assumes that change occurs constantly and that the unexpected and unpredicted will occur". this is true. Some people are constantly changing their majors, even things that they could never see themselves studying because they're constantly changing their minds. it's either because they develop new interests and/or they lose interest in what they are majoring in. they lose their passion. one reason could be that the classes sre boring and they dont find them interesting at all. I know people who have changed their majors more than 3 times. Im not one of those people. Ive always known what I wanted to do in life and I'm going to stick to it.

Personality Test Results

My type is INTJ- Introverted, Intuitive, Thinking and Judging. I scored a 44% in Introverted, a 25% in Intuitive, a 38% in thinking and a 56% in Judging. Im satisfied with these results because they are correct especially judging. I'm a very orderly person.

Although I agree with the results, I disagree the possible career choices because Im not interested in any of them.  the possible career choices are natural Science, Engineering, Computer Programming, Law and Librarian. These are choices that im NOT interested in. I dont agree with any of this. I cant see myself having a career in any of these choices. it's all seems so boring to me.
